Belgian King and Queen Visit the Province of Antwerp
Today, Wednesday November 30, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde paid a visit to the Province of Antwerp.
The first stop was in the municipality of Arendonk where the Royal Couple paid a visit to the headquarter of Ravago Building Solutions, a company “specializes in the production and distribution of high-quality building materials”.
Upon the arrival at the headquarter of the company the King and the Queen were welcomed by the governon of the province, Cathy Berx and then, accompanied by the plant manager, Joris Van Hees, toured the company and met with the employees.
Afterwards the Royal Couple moved to the municipality of Zoersel to visit the Monnikenheide Spectrum facility
The facility, that houses about 180 residents, was founded in 1973 and provides “professional service to people with intellectual disabilities and their families” and it is also a day care center for several activities. The Royal Couple met with the residents and the volunteers.
At the end of the visit the King and the Queen greeted the people gathered outside the Town Hall of Zoersel where took place a reception.
