Their Majesties King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia started their third and last day in Jordan, today Thursday November 17, by visiting the Zaatari refugee camp, the world’s largest camp for Syrian refugees.
The Royal Couple visited a school, where they met with teachers and young students, and also an activity centre that “provides computer training, has art classes and its own gallery”.
Then the King and the Queen paid a visit to the Manara Arts & Culture center where they were welcomed by Princess Basma. During the visit they attended a meeting focused on “the challenges for the environment, water supply and food security that both Jordan and the region are facing”.
The state visit ended at the Jordan Museum where the King and the Queen toured the exhibition “Jordan: Land of Innovation, Continuity and Change”.
