The Dutch State Visit to Sweden Ends in Gothenburg

On Thuesday October 13, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima spent their last day of the state visit to Sweden by visiting Gothenburg along with King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
In Gothenburg the Royal Couple paid a visit to Lindholmen Science Park, a business park founded in 2000 where “scientists, businesses and government work together on innovations for the development of sustainable cities, with a focus on sustainable transport and mobility, and on digitalisation”. The Dutch and Swedish Royal Couple toured the park and met with students, researchers and business representatives to be informed about their work.
Then King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, along with King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, took an eletric ferry heading to the residence of the Västra Götaland County governor’s where took place a luncheon.
In the afternoon the Royal Couples visited the Port of Gothenburg where took place a presentation focused on greener shipping.
The last event of the state visit took place at the Volvo Trucks Experience Centre where the Dutch and Swedish Royal Couple attended a “presentation of the group’s green transition, which includes all parts from production to the final product” and then took place a practical demonstration of electric trucks and an electric excavator.
