Last Day in the Netherlands for Frederik and Mary

Today, Tuesday June 21, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary started the second and last day in the Netherlands with a separate agenda.
The Crown Prince paid a visit to the Technical University of Delft, the oldest and largest technical university in the Netherlands. During the visit the Crown Prince was informed about the University’s work in the field of geothermal energy and district heating.
Afterwards Crown Prince Frederik, along with the Danish Minister of Climate and Energy, Dan Jørgensen, visited Cambridge Innovation Center in Rotterdam, an innovation hub. Then the Crown Prince paid a visit to the company RelyOn Nutec, “a global business delivering safety and competence services”. The Crown Prince toured the facilityand attended a demonstration of how to put out a hydrogen fire.
Crown Princess Mary, in the meantime, visited the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) along with the Danish Minister of Health, Magnus Heunicke. Topic of the visit was digital and technological innovations in healthcare. Then the Crown Princess paid a visit to the Willem-Alexander Childrens Hospital which is affiliated to the Leiden University Medical Center. The Crown Princess toured the hospital’s play area, met with the doctors and the little patients and attended a meeting focused on smart hospitals. Afterwards the Crown Princess was received by Marja van Bijsterveldt, mayor of Delft, at the town hall where took place a lunch hosted by the mayor. Following the lunch, the Crown Princess paid a visit to the Floating Office in Rotterdam to discuss about the sustainable construction of the future along with “Danish and Dutch companies from the construction industry”.
Crown Prince Frederik, at lunchtime, attended a network lunch on board the ship Princess Amalia, in the Port of Rotterdam.
The Crown Prince Couple was reunited for the last event of the working visit to the Netherlands: a reception held at the residence of the Denmark’s Ambassador to the Netherlands.
