Norwegian Crown Prince Couple Starts Official Visit to Sweden.
On Monday May 2, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit began a three-day official visit to Sweden hosted by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.
Following the official welcoming at the Haga castle, the Crown Princess Couple and the Crown Prince Couple attended the opening of the business seminar “Norway and Sweden – stronger together than separately” at the Karolinska Institutet. Then they paid a visit to Kulturhuset, a library with books in over 50 languages for children between 0-9 years.
At lunchtime, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden hosted a lunch for the Crown Prince Couple at the Royal Palace. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia were present as well. In the afternoon Crown Prince Haakon, along with the Crown Prince Couple, had a meeting with Norwegian and Swedish CEOs at the Norwegian Embassy.
In the evening Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit hosted a reception for the Crown Princess Couple at the Norra Latin. At the reception were present representatives of Norwegian and Swedish business, institutions, diplomacy and culture.
