Confirmation of Princess Isabella
Denmark’s Princess Isabella today, Saturday April 30, celebrated her confirmation during a private ceremony held at the Fredensborg Palace Church.
The Princess, accompanied by her parents, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, and her siblings, Prince Christian, Princess Josephine and Prince Vicnent, arrived around noon at Fredensborg Palace where Queen Margrethe was waiting to greet the Crown Prince Family’s arrival.
Bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen, Royal Confessor, presided the Confirmation ceremony.
Princess Isabella’s uncle and aunt, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, and her cousins, Prince Nikolai, Prince Felix, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena were among the present.
At the Confirmation service was also present Queen Mathilde, Princess Isabella’s godmother.
Following the Confirmation service, the Princess posed for photos with her family and said to the press that “It’s really something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time” and that they “miss our Australian family a lot”.
