British Royals Attend Festival of Remembrance and Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cenotaph
This weekend, for of the British Royal Family, was marked by the ceremonies of Remembrance Day.
On Saturday evening, November 13, the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, the Princess Royal and Tim Lawrence, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent attended the Festival of Remembrance at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The Remembrance Festival is hosted by Royal British Legion and dedicated to “all those that have served and sacrificed from Britain and the Commonwealth”.
On Sunday morning, November 14, members of the royal family attended the annual Remembrance commemorative service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, London.
Queen Elizabeth was forced to miss Remembrance Sunday service due to back sprain.
On the Queen’s behalf, the Prince of Wales laid a wreath of red poppies at the base of the Cenotaph followed by the Duke of Cambridge, the Earl of Wessex and the Princess Royal.
The Duchess of Cornwall, the Duchess of Cambridge, the Countess of Wessex, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra attended the service from the balcony of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office building.
