King Philippe and Queen Mathilde Attend the Opening of a Double Exhibition
Yesterday, Thursday October 7, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were present for the opening of a new double exhibition at the at the Center for Fine Arts (BOZAR) in Brussels.
The exhibitions display the work of the British artist David Hockney.
David Hockney is an English painter, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer, and photographer born in 1937.
The first parto of the exhibition, entitled “Works from the Tate Collection, 1954-2017”, shows Hockney’s entire career; the second one, entitled “The Coming of Spring, Normandy, 2020”, in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Arts, shows Hockney’s paintings made in spring 2020 in his home in Normandy during the first lockdown.
During the visit the Royal Couple toured the double exhibition.
The exhibition will be opened to the public from October 8, 2021 to january 23, 2022.
