Queen Máxima Opens The Exhibition “Viva la Frida! – Life and art of Frida Kahlo”

Today, Thursday October 7, Her Majesty Queen Máxima was present for the official opening of the exhibition “Viva la Frida! – Life and art of Frida Kahlo” in the Drents Museum in Assen. The exhibition is dedicated to the life and work of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo through her paintings and personal objects such as clothing, jewelry and painted corsets. These objects are on loan from the Museo Dolores Olmedo and Museo Frida Kahlo from Mexico City.
At the opening ceremony were also present the director of the Drents Museum, the director of Museo Dolores Olmedo, the ambassador of Mexico.
Queen Maxima, who wore a colorful outfit with floral headpiece as an homage to Frida Kahlo, toured the exhibition, signed the book of honor of the exhibition attended a break dance performance followed by a meeting with stakeholders about “business museum support” and “inclusiveness and diversity”.
The exhibition will be opened to the public from October 8, 2021 to March 27, 2022.
