Belgian Royal Family Attend Car Free Sunday in Ghent

Today, Sunday September 19, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, together with Princess Elisabeth, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eleonore, were in Ghent to attend Car Free Sunday, a car-free day that takes place every year in the streets of Brussels and many Belgian cities.
The Royal Couple and their children cycled through the city and they also met with Mathias De Clercq, mayor of Ghent.
During the day in Ghent the King and the Queen, along with Princess Elisabeth, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eleonore, paid a visit to Boekentoren, the library of the Ghent University. The library was reopened after 9 years of closure for renovation works.
