A very different Christmas for the British royal family
Due to the pandemic, the British royal family, like millions of other families across the country, spent their Christmas at home and therefore could not hold the usual gathering at Sandringham House in Norfolk.
Original plans were for the family to have a smaller celebration at Windsor Castle, but then new lockdown rules kicked in enforcing the new tier rules, with Windsor and London both falling into tier 4, meaning that under the guidelines people couldn’t leave their homes unless necessary.
In her speech, the Queen focused on “the kindness of strangers” and said to viewers “you are not alone”. The speech itself was recorded before the new lockdown restrictions were enforced, though the message still retained its relevance.
Other members of the royal family released Christmas photos from their places of residences, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, releasing a creative photograph of the family taken by Meghan’s mother at their home in the US.

May the Good Lord bless the Queen and Her Family with many wonderful years with Her subjects, perfect health and all the other life’s splendours.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2021 !
Even though I am not a British subject, the message of the Queen was so inspiring. I want to project the Christmas spirit to everyone from now on.
The Queen said what all the leaders of the world should have said. Well done!
May God give you many more years on this earth. God Bless the Queen!!
