On November 8, Nicholas Medforth Mills, a former prince of Romania, and his wife, Alina Maria (nee Binder) welcomed their first child, Maria Alexandra.

Baby Maria Alexandra was born at the Polizu Hospital in Bucharest and it is said that the couple named their new daughter after Queen Maria of Romania. In 2019, Nicholas admitted that he was the father of Iris Anna Cirjan, who was born in 2016.

In 2018, he married Maria Alina Binder, who worked in PR, in a religious ceremony at the Saint Elijah Church in Sinaia, having previously had a civil wedding in Henley-on-Thames as both he and Maria Alina lived in London and he attended Argyle House School in Sunderland.

Nicholas became a prince of Romania in 2005, however lost his title to the defunct throne in 2015 after it was learnt that he was the father of a child outside of marriage.
