On July 13, Prince Christian of Hanover and his wife Alessandra, nee de Osma, have welcomed twins named Nicolas and Sofia in Madrid, Spain.

Prince Christian is the son of Prince Ernst August of Hanover, from his first marriage to Chantal Hochuli. After his parent’s marriage ended, Prince Ernst August married Princess Caroline of Monaco, who is Prince Christian’s stepmother.

Prince Christian met his wife, Alessandra de Osma, a lawyer originally from Peru. Her family hold the Spanish title of Count of Vistaflorida, which is currently held by her cousin, José Domingo de Osma y Wakonigg. Alessandra and Christian married firstly in a civil ceremony at the Chelsea and Westminster Registry Office in London, England on 24 November 2017; which was followed by a traditional religious ceremony at the Basilica of San Pedro in Lima, Peru.

The couple moved to Madrid in June 2019, where Alessandra gave birth to Prince Nicolas and Princess Sofia.
