Dutch State Visit to India – Day Two
Today, Tuesday October 15, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima started their second day in India with the opening of the 25th edition of the India Tech Summit.
The Netherlands, this year, is partner of the summit where Dutch and Indian companies, innovators & government meet to co-create innovative solutions for global challenges. The Royal Couple spent two hour at the Tech Summit, they toured the Experience Zone, where technical developments and innovations are shown and met with CEOs and entrepreneurs from both countries.
In the afternoon the King and the Queen paid a visit to a school that is involved in the project “Go-Girls-Go”, focused on supporting girls in finishing high school and entering vocational education and combating violence against girls and women.
Afterwards the Royal Couple visited the historic Mausoleum of Safdarjung and then met with former Indian students from Dutch educational institutions.
