On June 29, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised the Boston Red Sox with a visit at the London Stadium before they were due to play against the New York Yankees.

This is the first Major League Baseball game the teams have played in Europe, and will also be watched by a large number of their fans back home in North America. 120,000 tickets were sold out at yesterday’s game in 45 minutes.

Meghan, who was born in California, was given a Red Sox baseball shirt with his name on the back.

Former competitors from Invitcus participated in the ceremonial match. Harry co-founded the Invitcus Games in 2014 and is the organisation’s patron.
