Duchess of Cambridge at Action on Addiction Gala
Despite the rainy weather, the Duchess of Cambridge attended the Action on Addiction charity gala on June 12 at Spring Restaurant in Somerset House, London.
Kate has been patron of Action on Addiction since 2012, which helps addict recoverers and their families receive treatment, support and professional education across the UK.
Ronnie and Sally Wood, Bella Freud and Eric Fellner were amongst the celebrity guests at the gala yesterday evening.
During her speech, Kate said “Action on Addiction was one of my very first patronages, and as such, it is very close to my heart” before adding “I’m hugely passionate about the support it provides, especially for parents, children and families who suffer from, or through, addiction. And in some ways, it was the catalyst for my interest in early childhood development”.
