Prince of Wales’s 70th birthday party at Buckingham Palace
On November 14, as the Prince of Wales turned seventy, his mother Queen Elizabeth hosted a birthday celebration for him at Buckingham Palace with the British and European royal families in attendance.
From the British royal family; the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duchess of Cornwall, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Princess Royal and Tim Lawrence, the Duke of York, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Zara and Mike Tindall, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, Princess Beatrice, the Duke of Kent, the Duchess of Kent, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Lady Sarah Chatto and her family, and the Earl of Snowdon and his family.
As well as the British royal family; the Norwegian royal family, former King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa of Luxembourg, Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Greek royal family, Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia and the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark. The Swedish royal family were invited however had commitments at home so were unable to attend. King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia are representing their son and daughter-in-law King Felipe and Queen Letizia, who are currently on a state visit to Peru. Princess Beatrix is also representing her son and daughter in-law King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima, who are welcoming the Austrian President on a state visit.
Earlier today, the Prince of Wales also attend a tea party in London to celebrate 70 inspirational people in honour of his milestone birthday.
