Belgian King and Queen Receive the Belgian Football Team

Today, Sunday July 15, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a reception for the Red Devils at the Royal castle in Laken to celebrate their third place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The players and the entire staff of the National Team were congratulated by the King, the Queen and their youngest daughter Princess Eléonore.
During the reception King Philippe addressed the National Team saying: “In the name of all Belgians, I want to thank you for your wonderful achievement at the World Championships. You are now one of the three best teams in the most popular and watched sport in the world. That is a lot for our country. You have conquered the hearts of the whole world. Your team spirit and fighting spirit were fantastic”. Then in the garden the Royal Couple and the Red Devils posed for photographs.
