Happy Sixth Birthday, Princess Estelle!

On February 23rd, Princess Estelle, Duchess of Östergötland celebrated her sixth birthday.

A series of photographs were taken by photographer Erika Gerdemark at Haga Palace, the home of Crown Princess Victoria and her family. Estelle’s younger brother Oscar was also seen in one of the photos, sharing her birthday cake.

Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary was born on February 23, 2012 at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm. She is the oldest child of Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel (nee Westling), and is thus second in line to the Swedish throne.

Estelle’s christening occurred on May 22, 2012 at the Royal Chapel of Stockholm Palace and her godparents were Prince Carl Philip, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands (the Prince of Orange at the time), Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and Anna Westling-Söderström.

The Princess is currently attending the Äventyret Preschool in Stockholm and will begin primary school this September.
