Crown Princess Mary Presents Designer’s Nest Award As Part of Copenhagen Fashion Week
As patron, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark presented this year’s Designer’s Nest Award during the Designer’s Nest fashion show at the Hotel d’Angleterre in Copenhagen, the first event of Copenhagen Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2018.
The 50,000DKK prize this season went to Norwegian designer Axel Enquist. Designer’s Nest gives young fashion designers from across Scandinavia the “opportunity to broaden their wings and use their imagination on collections not usually seen in fashion magazines”.
The Princess – who tends towards more ‘fashion-forward’ outfits when visiting CIFF events – wore a pair of deep red velvet pants, a petrol blue long-sleeved blouse, and a matching coat. She paired her ensemble with a pair of leopard print pumps and a snakeskin clutch.
In the evening, Princess Mary attended a dinner at Copenhagen City Hall to mark the start of Copenhagen Fashion Week.
