The 42nd International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo kicked off last night, with Prince Albert and Princess Stéphanie – who is chairwoman of the Circus Festival organising committee – in the front row to enjoy the event at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille.

Ahead of the first performance, the Prince and Princess met with some of the acts who will be taking part in this year’s Circus Festival, and posed for photos on the red carpet with them.

Pauline and Louis Ducruet, Princess Stephanie’s eldest children, joined their mother and uncle for the opening night, with Louis bringing along his long-time girlfriend, Marie Chevalier.

  1. Michael Carson says:

    Shameful !!

Prince Albert should be ashamed to be promoting wild animal acts which involve incredible torture and torment for the captive animals forced to perform degrading tricks for humans who should know better.
