As patron, Princess Stéphanie of Monaco was present for a photo call at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille on Tuesday to mark the upcoming 42nd International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo.

The Princess posed with the ringmaster, performers and animals, getting up close with one of the giraffes that will be involved in this year’s circus, which runs from January 18th to January 28th.

Performers this year – in the 250th year of the modern circus – include the Vavilov Troupe and the Hungarian National Circus.

  1. Michael Carson says:

Shame on her supporting outdated and terrible cruelty to poor captive wild animals. The circus brings shame on Monaco. Modern nations ban the use of animals in the circus. Watch the training of them.on U Tube it is heartbreaking.
