Crown Princess Katherine Celebrates Orthodox Christmas With Hospital Visit
On Sunday – Orthodox Christmas – Crown Princess Katherine, wife of the Head of the House of Karađorđević, paid a visit to the ‘Banjica’ Institute for Orthopaedic Surgery and the University Children’s Hospital to spread some Christmas cheer to the children spending the holiday in hospital.
The Crown Princess distributed toys provided by Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organisation, one of the American branches of her foundation. She later visited the Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj Home for Children and Youth where she helped serve lunch to over fifty children who live in the home.
Earlier in the morning, Katherine had joined Crown Prince Alexander for a Christmas liturgy at the Church of Saint Sava.
