King Michael of Romania’s Funeral Held in Bucharest
On December 16, the late King Michael’s funeral took place at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Bucharest. King Michael was later buried beside his late wife, Queen Anne, at the Curtea de Argeș.
Crown Princess Margareta lead the Romanian Royal Family throughout the several days of funeral events. Those in attendance at the funeral were the Prince of Wales, the former Queen of Greece, Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos of Spain, Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz of Belgium, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna of Russia, and Princess Muna al-Hussein. Nicholas Medforth-Mills and his fiancee Alina were also present.
The President and First Lady of Romania also honoured the late king at his state funeral.

I cannot even express how deeply sad I am for the huge loss we all feel at the departure of our beloved King Michael that left to meet with the Lord. Let us hope that our foxy government and their Premier will see reason.
