The Danish Royal Court announced the family’s 2017 Christmas plans on Tuesday, confirming that the Crown Princely Family will be spending the holiday season in Crown Princess Mary’s native Australia.
Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will travel with their four children for a summer Christmas, as they did in 2015.
Prince Joachim and Princess Marie with their two children, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena, will also spend the holiday abroad; while this year, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix will celebrate with their mother, the Countess of Frederiksborg.
Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik continue their tradition of Christmas at Marselisborg Castle in Aarhus.
