Jordan’s Queen Rania arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to participate in the second session of Misk Global Forum (MGF), which takes place in the Saudi capital Riyadh between November 15 and 17. It is held under the theme of “Meeting the Challenge of Change”.

The Queen delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the forum and highlighted the “hope gap” experienced by the disadvantaged, both within the Arab region and the world at large. Her Majesty added, “Our world is suffering from a scarcity of hope, and never before has the need been greater for us to connect, exchange knowledge, and expand innovation.”

During her speech, Queen Rania also called for a re-evaluation of motives behind acquiring technology. She said, “let us adopt technologies that add value to our lives and keep hope alive in our Arab youth, for they are our source of pride.”

The Misk Global Forum (MGF) is a global platform launched by Misk Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic foundation established by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman of Saudi Arabia. It was founded 2016 and aims to discover, develop and empower Saudi youth to become active participants in the knowledge economy.
