Queen Rania On Visit To Al-Bayoudha Village
On Monday, Queen Rania of Jordan paid a visit to the village of Al-Bayoudha for meetings with members of the local community who have worked tirelessly to promote community development programs to benefit those who live there.
Her meetings focused around the Abdulrahman Bin Awf Charitable Society and the Al Balqa’ Institute for Innovation, both of which had developed various programs to encourage the local villagers to make the most of the natural resources in the region to create products to sustain the local economy.
Among the goods Queen Rania was shown were soaps, embroidered and olive oil crafted by female villagers.
The Queen passed on a message from her husband, King Abdullah II, saying that “His Majesty consistently calls for each area to make the most of its distinguishing features by developing and building upon them. This step lies at the core of decentralization and sustainable local development”, and the village should be proud of what they have achieved.
