Birthday Celebrations of Crown Princess Victoria Continue In Solliden
After a day of celebrations yesterday in both Stockholm and Oland, the Crown Princess of Sweden today celebrated with the people at Solliden Palace, welcoming dozens of members of the public into the Palace grounds to mark the occasion as the Royal Family does each year.
Victoria was joined by her husband, Prince Daniel, their two children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, and her parents, the King and Queen in the courtyard of Solliden where she and the King gave brief speeches and the King lead a birthday cheer.
The Crown Princess then – helped by her daughter – walked through the crowd and received flowers, drawings and a number of small gifts (even a spettekaka cake!) from them.
“It has been a wonderful and intense day. There is so much warmth and love, so nice all the way!” Crown Princess Victoria said to reporters afterwards, mentioning that the best part of the celebrations was having her whole family together “because we live in different places”.
