The Princess Royal Opens New Postal Museum

In London on Tuesday, the Princess Royal was tasked with officially opening the new Postal Museum and Mail Rail on Phoenix Place.

Wearing an ice blue skirt suit, Princess Anne toured the new facility that showcases the history of the British mail service. She inspected various exhibitions that demonstrate the technological advances that have changed mail delivery over the centuries, as well as historic moments seen by the service.

The Princess also got to ride on the Mail Rail train through the underground tunnels that, in its hay day, ensured post was dispatched through the city of London twenty-two hours a day.

The Postal Museum opens to the public on July 28.
