Built: 1836-1843
Architect: Friedrich von Gärtner
Commissioned By: Ludwig I of Bavaria
Style: Neoclassical
On The Palace Grounds: Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Current Owner: The Greek State
Current Use: Seat of the Hellenic Parliament
Fun Fact: The Palace has been damaged by fire twice, in 1884 and 1909. Repair work after the latter fire did not get completed for over a decade due to the wars Greece was involved in at that time period (Balkan Wars, World War I and Greek-Turkish War)
