The Duchess of Growler? Camilla Reveals School Nickname During 500 Words Judging Panel

During her visit to BBC’s Radio Studios earlier today, the Duchess of Cornwall revealed one of her nicknames in school: The Growler, thanks to her not-fabulous singing abilities.

Camilla made the comment as she spoke with singer Debbie Harry after the singer performed on Chris Evans’ breakfast show. The Duchess also said she was a “huge admirer” of the singer.

The Duchess of Cornwall was at the studios to sit on the judging panel of the 500 Words children’s writing competition, which she has supported since 2015. Over 131,000 entries were received in this year’s competition, with the judges going over 50 shortlisted entries to decide the top three in each category.
