Royals at the 2017 Met Gala in New York

Joining the who’s-who of Hollywood scene, Princess Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis attended the 2017 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York yesterday.

Wearing a belted dusty rose coat with floral embellishments designed by Simone Rocha, the Princess walked the beige carpet alongside celebrities such as Gisele Bündchen, Madonna, and The Crown‘s Claire Foy and Matt Smith.

Also attending the big event was Princess Talita von Fürstenberg, who – naturally – wore a custom gown from Diane von Fürstenberg, the label of her grandmother.

The Met Gala is held each year as a fundraiser for the Costume Institute at the Met. This year’s theme was Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between.

I enjoy this site very much & applaud your work. But just a note to point out that neither
Princess Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis nor Princess Talita von Fürstenberg are “royals.” They’re nobility, not royals. In my experience, a lot of U.S. royalty-watchers don’t grasp the difference.
