King Philippe and Queen Mathilde Visit Rik Wouters Exhibition
Yesterday, Thursday April 27, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde paid a visit to the exhibition “Rik Wouters. Retrospective” held at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Brussels.
The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Antwerp, shows a retrospective of the works made by the Belgian fauvist painter and sculptor Rik Wouters to mark the 100th anniversary of his death. The exhibition consists of more than 200 work of the Belgian artist that come from loans from private collections and major museums.
The Royal Couple toured the exhibition and met with some children that participate in a workshop of visual arts organized by Royal Museums of Fine Arts.
