The Imperial Household Agency has announced that Princess Kako, younger daughter of Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko, will be heading to England in the northern fall for a year’s exchange at the University of Leeds.

Princess Kako is currently studying at Tokyo’s International Christian University; her studies in Leeds will be credited towards her degree at ICU. The 22-year-old Princess began her university education at the Gakushuin University, before making the decision to move in late 2014.

Her older sister, Princess Mako, also went on university exchanges to the United Kingdom, studying at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Leicester.
