Légion d’honneur Bestowed Upon Danish Princess Marie
Denmark’s French-born Princess, Marie, was today bestowed the Légion d’honneur in a ceremony at the French Embassy in Copenhagen.
The French Ambassador to Denmark, François Zimeray, presented the Princess with the insignia of the Légion d’honneur, class Grand Officer. The order is the highest French order of merit, awarded for military and civil merits.
The Princess’s husband, Prince Joachim, and father-in-law Prince Henrik (himself a Frenchman) were present for the ceremony.
