Princess Alexandra Breaks Wrist, Cancels Engagements

  March 2, 2017 at 7:11 am by

A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Princess Alexandra of Kent has been forced to cancel several of her upcoming engagements on the advice of her doctors after breaking her wrist.

The Daily Express reports the Princess had a fall which caused the break.

Alexandra, who is a first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, has been a stalwart of the Royal Family since the late 1950s, when she was asked to being undertaking royal engagements in support of her cousin. In recent years, despite her increasing age (the Princess turned 80 in December), she has done around 100 engagements a year.
