Spain’s King and Queen Visit Cardiovascular Research Centre

The King and Queen of Spain paid a visit to the Carlos III National Centre for Cardiovascular Research in Madrid on Thursday.

They attended a meeting of the CNIC Foundation and were given a tour of the research facilities before sitting in on a debate on the topic “Excellence of cardiovascular research in Spain”. During the debate, King Felipe and Queen Letizia heard from Borja Ibáñez, Guadalupe Sabio and Rui Benedito, laureates of the Princesa de Girona Foundation Award for Scientific Research.

Queen Letizia wore a repeated claret-toned Hugo Boss leather dress with a black blazer.
