Jordan’s King Abdullah II and his youngest child, Prince Hashem, celebrate their birthdays on January 30. The king turns fifty-five while his son turns twelve years old.

Queen Rania published a sweet photo for both her husband and son and commented wishing her two loves ‘Happy Birthday’. So did King Abdullah and Queen Rania’s elder son, Crown Prince Hussein, who shared two photos of him with his father and brother on Instagram.

King Abdullah II is the eldest son of the late King Hussein and Princess Muna of Jordan. He inherited the throne 18 years ago following the death of his father. In 1993, the King – then Prince Abdullah – married Rania Yasin, who later became Queen Rania, in a lavish ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Amman. In addition to Princes Hussein (b. 1994) and Hashem (b.2005), the couple have two daughters: Princess Iman (b.1996) and Princess Salma (b. 2000).
