A Purple-Clad Camilla Presents 2016 Man Booker Prize
The Duchess of Cornwall has this evening presented American writer Paul Beatty with the 2016 Man Booker Prize for Fiction at a prize ceremony at London’s Guildhall.
Donning a new purple dress with a tiered, pleated skirt, Camilla took to the stage to present the award, which Mr Beatty won for his novel The Sellout, a satire themed around race-relations in the United States. He was also awarded £50,000 for taking out the prize.
The Man Booker Prize is the preeminent literary prize for English language novels.
