Sweden’s Princess Madeleine has returned to New York today as part of her work with the World Childhood Foundation, attending a seminar at the United Nations before the Foundation’s ThankYou gala in the evening.

At the gala, held at the Cipriani restaurant, Madeleine was joined by opera singer Andrea Bocelli and actor Forest Whitaker – who both spoke at the seminar earlier in the day – as well as actress Malin Akerman on the red carpet.

The Princess wore a recycled grey chiffon Jenny Packham one-shouldered evening gown, paired with large pearl drop earrings, for the gala, which is to raise funds for the World Childhood Foundation USA branch.

The UN seminar was entitled ‘Solutions to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals for Children’ and was a joint effort by Childhood, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the Permanent Missions of Sweden and Italy to the UN. It discussed solutions to ensure children around the world have their most basic needs met.
