World First Aid Day 2016 Launched by Princess Charlène in Geneva
Princess Charlène has joined the Secretary General of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for the launch of this year’s World First Aid Day, and a new campaign aimed at children, at the United Nations offices in Geneva.
The Princess and Secretary General Elhadj As Sy gave a lesson in first aid to a group of school-aged children, teaching them how to perform CPR.
“Children are capable of saving the lives of themselves and others around them if they are equipped with first aid training,” Princess Charlène, who is a Goodwill Ambassador of the IFRC, said during a press conference later in the day about the campaign, “Empowering young people as first aid providers will not just save lives. It will prepare them for a future in which they can be an active and responsible citizen in their local communities.”Filed under Monaco
