Japan’s Prince Hisahito today celebrates his tenth birthday. He is the third in line to the throne, as the only grandson of Emperor Akihito.

To mark the occasion, a video of the Prince with his two elder sisters, Princesses Mako and Kako, has been released showing the siblings tending to the rice paddy and gardens on their residence in Tokyo.

Born in 2006, Hisahito was the first male to be born into the direct line of the Japanese Imperial Family since the birth of his own father, Prince Akishino, in 1965. Following his birth, discussions to allow female succession to the throne (the Prince’s uncle, Crown Prince Naruhito, has one daughter) were dropped.

He attends the Ochanomizu University Elementary School, and enjoys skiing and hiking according to the Imperial Household Agency.
