King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima Receive Dutch Olympic Team
Today, Wednesday August 24, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima received the medal winners of the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro. The ceremony took place at the Noordeinde Palace where the athletes were greeted by the Royal Couple. At the end of the visit took place an official photo in the stairs of the Palace.
For the occasion the Queen worn an orange dress that was matched with the King’s orange tie.

Previously the Dutch athletes were honored in the Hall of Knights at the Ministry of General Affairs at the presence of the Prime Minister Mark Rutte and the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport, Edith Schippers.
The King and Queen, along with their three daughters, Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, were present at several matches at the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro cheering and supporting the Dutch athletes.
