Royals in Rio – Day 13
A new royal has popped up in Rio to support the Norwegian athletes, Crown Prince Haakon, who arrived yesterday. He spent Thursday at the men’s triathlon, cheering on Kristian Blummenfelt who came 13th. He also watched the women’s handball semi-final between Norway and Russia.
Meanwhile, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark was pleased as punch to present the Danish women’s badminton doubles team with their silver medal after their final match against gold medal winners Japan.

King Carl Gustaf was rejoined by Queen Silvia as they took in some taekwondo and wrestling.
