Memorial Service Held at Săvârşin
Crown Princess Margareta of Romania and her husband, Prince Radu, attended a memorial service at the Orthodox Church in Săvârşin yesterday in memory of Queen Anne who died last week. Dressed in mourning, the royal couple took their places solemnly amongst the rest of the congregation inside the ornate church.
Queen Anne of Romania’s funeral will take place on Saturday, 13th August in Bucharest. The Government of Romania has announced that it will be a day of National Mourning, with flags flying at half mast on all State and public buildings, as well as at the headquarters of other institutions and places throughout the country.
