Queen Margrethe Visits the Faroe Islands
The Queen of Denmark is currently on a few days visit to the Faroe Islands, an autonomous country within the Danish Kingdom.
She is travelling on the royal yacht, the Dannebrog, and has thus far visited the cities of Drelnes and Tórshavn. The Queen – wearing the traditional costume of the Islands – stopped by the parliament, a nursing home and a graphic workshop as well as a cultural centre today; while yesterday’s agenda included school visits and a tour of a fish factory.
One of the best parts of the Danish royal visits to the Faroe Islands and Greenland? The beautiful scenery!
