Camilla and William Join The Privy Council
The Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke of Cambridge were installed to the Privy Council during a meeting at Buckingham Palace on June 9, the Court Circular read yesterday.
The Council – made up primarily of senior politicians – is the most senior advisory committee to the monarch, that advises the sovereign on use of powers and helps to enact Acts of Parliament.
It is believed the reason behind the move is that Queen Elizabeth wished to ensure both Camilla and William would be on the Accession Council and thereby be present when Prince Charles is sworn in as King upon her death.

May God save the Queen and postpone – for many years from now – the moment Her Majesty is having in mind while making such proper preparations. She is, for what I could see, as fit as a fiddle (if I may say so,) both physically and mentally, so I hope Prince Charles’ becoming the King of England will have to wait.
