Her Majesty Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan celebrated her 26th birthday today by attending the the 2nd Royal Bhutan Flower Exhibition alongside her husband, His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Her Majesty’s father-in-law, the Fourth King and other members of the Bhutanese Royal Family including three of the Fourth King’s grandchildren.

Of-course, the day would not have been complete without the attendance of the newest member of the family, His Royal Highness The Gyalsey, who at only a few months old has delighted people with his appearance at several events already.

The exhibition was held in the 18 acre grounds of the Ugyen Pelri Palace, with a number of exhibits and themed gardens created by a variety of Government agencies and individuals, including the Ministry of Agriculture, who made a display showcasing organic fruit and vegetables grown in the country.

As Her Majesty inaugurated the exhibition, which was held a couple of months later than last years in honour of her birthday, Queen Jetsun Pema lit a butterlamp as part of the opening ceremony.
