Flashback Friday: Diana Channels Jackie Kennedy

May 20, 1995: Princess Diana presents new colours to her regiment, The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, during a visit to the Howe Barracks in Kent.

The Princess – who was the regiment’s Colonel-in-Chief from September 1992 to 1996 – wore a baby pink skirt suit from Versace with a matching Philip Sommerville pillbox hat with a double bow at the back. The look was reminiscent of the outfit US First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy wore in Texas the day her husband was assassinated.
