This night Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este and his wife Elisabetta have become the proud parents of a daughter. The baby girl was born at 3:30AM at the Saint-Pierre University Hospital in Brussels. The baby is 52 centimeters long and weighs 3,3 kilograms. Mother and child are both doing well.

The court did not announce the name of the baby girl yet. The baby is the first grandchild for both sets of grandparents. From the paternal side that would be Princess Astrid of Belgium and her husband Archduke Lorenz of Austria-Este and for the maternal side Ettore Rosboch von Wolkenstein and Countess Lilia de Smecchia. It is also the first great-grandchild for King Albert II and Queen Paola of the Belgians and for Archduchess Robert of Austria-Este, née Princess of Aosta.
